Frequently Asked Questions
Does The Speech Clinic, Inc. take insurance?
Yes. We are currently in-network with Highmark and United Healthcare. We also offer self-pay options for speech/language evaluations and treatment.
Do I need a referral?
Yes. Prior to beginning treatment, all clients are requested to provide a doctor’s referral. This can be uploaded directly to our client portal, faxed to our office at 302-351-4169, or provided in-person.
What can I expect?
The Speech Clinic, Inc. offers initial virtual or in-person consultations free of charge for all prospective clients. If an evaluation is recommended, one of our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) will complete a comprehensive assessment of speech, language, and/or communication skills. The SLP will perform standardized assessments chosen based on client concerns to either rule out or diagnose a communication disorder.
The SLP will share a thorough report as well as recommendations for a treatment plan if needed. The Speech Clinic can then provide individualized, direct treatment to help address the client’s needs, typically in the form of weekly speech therapy sessions, or help guide the client toward additional next steps.
Is The Speech Clinic currently hiring?
